Take Action to Protect Children from the Impacts of Climate Change
"The impacts of climate change endanger children and threaten their right to live in a clean and safe environment. Despite being least responsible for climate change, children bear the brunt of its impact, with nearly 90% of those who fall ill due climate change being children under five. By 2040, an estimated 25 million more children will be malnourished due to climate change and about 600 million will live in areas with extremely limited water resources.
The U.S. Government must act now to protect children from the impacts of climate change by incorporating the following practices into U.S. foreign assistance programs and policies:
1. Financing and enhancing the adaptation and resilience of services that children depend upon most, such as water, health, education, and nutrition
2. Reducing emissions and pollution
3. Developing child-centric climate change response plans
4. Empowering children as agents of change by including them in decision-making on climate change programs and policy
Join us in calling on elected officials to prioritize the protection of children from the impacts of climate change."

Support UNICEF’s Effort to Equitably Distribute the COVID-19 Vaccine
"UNICEF and partners are leading the largest vaccine procurement and supply operation in history.
COVID-19 has upended the lives of children and families across the globe. Since the start of the pandemic, UNICEF has acted quickly to reduce the spread of the virus and minimize its negative impacts.
In 2021, UNICEF’s job is to ensure delivery of 2 billion vaccine doses for more than 180 countries around the world, including and especially low- and middle-income countries. In addition, UNICEF will continue to respond to the impacts of COVID-19 on children’s lives around the world.
UNICEF has been entrusted with this enormous challenge because it’s the only organization with the infrastructure, experience and expertise to lead this effort. Every year, UNICEF helps immunize more than 45% of the world’s children—in some of the most remote places on Earth. UNICEF knows what it takes to procure, deliver and build acceptance for vaccines. But it will take help.
Join us and tell Congress about the resources UNICEF needs to end the pandemic and safeguard the futures of the world’s most vulnerable children."

Help UNICEF Combat Child Trafficking
"Human trafficking is a human rights abuse compromising the rights of approximately 10 million children worldwide, including the U.S. Children across the country need our protection from predatory criminals who seek to turn the vulnerability and desperation of their victims into big business.
Human trafficking — the buying and selling of people for exploitative purposes — is on the rise according to a new study of 142 countries just released by the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC).
Child trafficking does not just impact other countries. It is happening right in our own backyards. In fact, human trafficking is reported annually in all 50 U.S. states and often involves the exploitation of U.S. citizens.
Please join us by contacting your elected officials urging them to keep trafficking and the survivors impacted by this human rights violation top of mind."

Urge Your State Legislature to End Child Marriage
"Worldwide, more than 650 million women and girls alive today were married before their 18th birthday. Some of them are right here in the United States.
UNICEF calls child marriage a harmful practice and a violation of child rights, and believes that marriage under age 18 should be prohibited in all circumstances. The risks are just as real for child marriages in the U.S. as they are in developing countries.
UNICEF USA and Zonta International have joined forces to raise awareness and enact change to end child marriage globally and locally, right here in the U.S., with the ultimate goal of ensuring that girls fully enjoy their childhood free from the risk of child marriage.
Call on your State Representative and State Senator to end child marriage with zero exceptions by supporting legislation in your state legislature."
